Professional Bartenders Guild Grand Cocktail Competition

Our very own Bar Manager, Paul Smith represented the club at the Professional Bartenders Guild Grand Cocktail Competition held at Mahons Hotel Irvinestown on Tuesday 17th July 2007. He came 2nd overall, being beat by only 1 point in the final.
Bartenders from all over the country attended and the standards were exceptionally high. Paul’s winning cocktail was his own variation on the ‘B.B.C.’ which included baileys, banana liquor, Malibu, Smirnoff vodka and pineapple. Mixed with crushed ice and a whole banana in the blender.
This is the second year that Paul Smith has represented the club and has been a great ambassador at this and other events.
